Matt Certo, CEO/Founder of Findsome & Winmore

Matt Certo is CEO & Principal of Findsome & Winmore, a digital marketing agency in Orlando.  As a writer and speaker, he is considered an industry expert in the field of Internet marketing, Web development, and social media marketing.  Matt serves as a Trustee and Investment Committee Chairman of the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation and Board President of The First Tee of Central Florida.  Matt is also a past Chairman of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce.  He was also a founding member of both the Rollins College Center for Entrepreneurship and the Rollins College President's Leadership Council.

 

 

 

Chad Phillips President

Chad Phillips, CEO/President of Elevate Orlando

Chad Phillips is the CEO/President of Elevate Orlando. Prior to Elevate, he was a Foundation Vice President and COO for Brand Marketing and Communications for Arnold Palmer Medical Center. Chad has an extensive background in marketing strategies working with clients including Coca-Cola, Chick-fil-A, and General Mills. He has a passion for working with organizations that support youth causes including serving on the board of directors for Runway to Hope. Chad is a graduate of Auburn University with a Master’s from Georgia State University.

 

 

 

Jack McGill President

Jack McGill, Founder and previous President of Elevate Orlando

Jack McGill currently serves as a Board Member after previously serving as president of Elevate Orlando. Before getting involved with Elevate Orlando, he was the national director of Priority Associates, a non-profit that seeks to develop the personal, professional and spiritual life of business and professional men and women in the marketplace. Jack is a coach-director, strategic planner and motivator, dedicated to improving the quality of life available to our inner city teens.

 

 

 

Betsey Bell

Betsey Bell, Executive Director, Foundation for Foster Children.

Betsey Bell has a long history of serving the Central Florida community.  Before assuming her current position as the Executive Director of the Foundation for Foster Children, Ms. Bell was the Executive Director for the Orlando Magic Youth Fund.  She has also served at Darden Restaurants in the Diversity and Community Relations department.

 

 

 

John Rivers

John Rivers, CEO/Founder of 4R Smokehouse

John Rivers’ diverse career experience spans two decades and ranges from managing a billion dollar pharmaceutical distribution operation to opening the fastest growing new restaurant in the South East in his Texas-inspired 4 Rivers Smokehouse in Winter Park, Florida.  Formerly the President of CuraScript Specialty Distribution, Rivers had responsibility and direct oversight of a $1.4 billion dollar pharmaceutical operation

 

 

 

Steve Tomaszewski

Steve Tomaszewski, Entec Plymers: Senior Vice President & General Manager

Steve has enjoyed a 27 career at Ravago Americas and now leads their Entec Polymers division. He is a hands-on leader recognized for his strategic vision, people development and business process improvement. Steve and his wife are both committed volunteers of Elevate Orlando. Together they have two daughters, Maggie and Ella and are members at Interlachen Country Club.

 

 

 

Chris Tessitore

Chris Tessitore, Executive Vice President & General Counsel of National Retail Properties, Inc.

Chris Tessitore has served as Executive Vice President of the Company since January 2007, as General Counsel since February 2006 and as Secretary since May 2006. Prior to March 2005, Mr. Tessitore was a shareholder at the law firm of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A., where he specialized in real estate acquisition, development and finance, as well as general business law.

 

 

 

Joan Hutton

Joan Hutton, Hutton Enterprises

Joan Hutton and her husband Mark are entrepreneurs with a passion for making a difference in the local community. She is founder and president of Women's Leadership Connection. Originally from Ohio, Joan moved to Orlando in 1986. Until 1990, Joan was in the corporate world in key business planning, management consulting, marketing and career development positions with Darden Restaurants, Deloitte & Touche, and BF Goodrich.

 

 

 

Melanie Fernandez

In 2000, Melanie co-founded Cross, Fernandez and Riley, LLP (C/F/R). As a partner in the firm, she provides management and leadership to the members of the C/F/R team. In addition, Melanie serves as the Director of Assurance Services.

Melissa and her husband Mike founded Liberty Investment Properties in 1988. Melissa is a mother of 4 who works in many philanthropic areas.

 

 

 

Jonathan Perry

Jonathan Perry, Greenberg Traurig

Jonathan is a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig where he specializes in real estate. He is a graduate of Emory University School of Law and has received numerous prestigious awards for his legal acumen. He is a community leader having sat on multiple boards including the United Negro College Fund, and the Mayor’s MLK Commission. Jonathan is a father and husband who cares deeply about his city.

 

 

 

Jeff Deery

Jeff Deery, Winderweedle, Haines, Ward and Woodman

Jeff is a shareholder with the law firm of Winderweedle, Haines, Ward and Woodman, practicing in the firm’s Orlando office. Jeff practices mainly in the areas of complex business, healthcare, and banking litigation, with a focus on commercial foreclosure, business shareholder disputes, and complex commercial transactions. Mr. Deery also serves as general counsel to smaller businesses throughout Central Florida. Jeff has his B.A. from Auburn and earned his law degree at Mercer University. Sitting on multiple Boards, Jeff has been recognized as a leader in various charitable and not-for-profit organizations. He is also a frequent lecturer on law firm practice development and lawyer-client relationships.

George is the Executive Chairman and CEO of Safemark, Inc and its subsidiaries: Best Lockers , Safemark Systems, Scooterbug and Select Lockers. Safemark Inc., is the global leader in safes, lockers and mobility equipment serving the hospitality, theme park, and music festival markets. George has served on the board of Global Teams, The First Tee of Savannah and Trinity Prep. He has a heart for giving back to underserved youth in the community with an emphasis on leadership and character development. He has two daughters and a new granddaughter.

 

 

 

Leslie Nelsen

Leslie Nelson, Volunteer

Leslie Nelsen is the wife of previous Board member, Gregg Nelsen, and as a couple they have been involved with Elevate in some form or another since the beginning. She is a Wheaton college graduate with work experience in both sales and Human Resources. Having recently launched the last of her four children, she is looking forward to investing in the lives of the students of Orange County Schools.

 

 

 

Bob McClelland

Bob McClelland, Wharton-Smith Construction: Director of Business Development

Bob has extensive high level experience in both business development and sales management. He is a graduate of Stetson University where he remains a proud booster. Bob was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Bob is married to Betsy and together they have two children, Alex and will. He is a member of the Interlachen Country Club and is an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.
